Editorial Policy
This policy describes how MetabolicDaily selects, researches, writes, and reviews content. Our goal is to provide readers with accurate, well-sourced health information while being transparent about our limitations and commercial relationships.
Topic Selection
Topics are chosen based on (1) reader interest in metabolic health conditions, (2) availability of meaningful scientific evidence, and (3) the degree to which misinformation on a topic poses a potential health risk. We prioritize topics where evidence-based clarity provides genuine value.
Research and Sourcing
- → Primary sources: peer-reviewed journals (PubMed, Cochrane Library, NEJM, Lancet, JAMA, Nutrients, Diabetes Care)
- → Clinical guidelines: American Diabetes Association (ADA), American Heart Association (AHA), National Eye Institute (NEI)
- → Government health bodies: NIH, CDC, NHS
- → We do not rely on press releases, manufacturer-funded studies without independent replication, or anecdotal reports as sole evidence
Writing Standards
- → Claims are scoped to what evidence actually shows (e.g., "associated with" vs. "causes")
- → Limitations and conflicting evidence are acknowledged
- → No absolute language ("cure," "miracle," "guaranteed") unless directly supported by clinical outcomes
- → Study sample sizes, populations, and methodologies are noted where relevant
Corrections Policy
When errors are identified, we correct them promptly and note the correction at the bottom of the affected article. We do not silently edit factual errors. If you believe something we have published is inaccurate, contact us.
Commercial Independence
Advertising and affiliate relationships do not influence editorial coverage. Products mentioned in articles are selected based on ingredient quality and scientific support. Our editorial team evaluates content independently of commercial considerations.
